BASIC INFORMATION

We are an independent voluntary organisation.

In the Czech Republic we represent the mining entrepreneur and employer communities.

We bring together 22 organisations with about 33 300 workers.

Members are significant joint-stock companies and state enterprises of the coal, ores, industrial minerals and oil industries, including organisations related closely to the mining industry.

We protect the interests of our members, formulate their goals and support them in negotiations with state authorities, the trade union and also with other subjects and institutions if required so that they may achieve their goals.

The company Agricola s.r.o. established by the Association provides services and accomplishes other special tasks following from activities of the Association.

We produce a technical-economic bimonthly periodical Uhlí - Rudy - Geologický průzkum (Coal - Ores - Geological Exploration) by which we make the professional public familiar with information regarding the area of science, engineering, economy and practice associated with mining activities.

We are a co-publisher of Mining Yearbook.

We guarantee and organise professional events.

We are an organic part of the Czech National Committee of Mining Congress that is incorporated into the International Organizing Committee of the World Mining Congress (IOCWMC).

We are a member of the European Solid Fuel Association (CECSO), i.e. the European Association for Coal and Lignite (EURACOAL) at present.
